MG Astor: At present, the demand for cars equipped with hybrid engines is suddenly increasing in the Indian market. In the same sequence, MG Motors is also preparing to introduce the facelift model of its popular car Aster in the market. According to the information received, the SUV has been equipped with a new hybrid powertrain and ADAS technology. The new MG Aster has been given a sportier look than the current model. Globally, the company has unveiled the Aster facelift. This car is already being sold in the global market under the name L ZS HEV. At the same time, preparations are being made to introduce it in India.
Updated Aster Features
The updated Astor features newly designed alloy wheels and new wheel arches with a rear that resembles the old BMW X1, redesigned taillights and a new bumper. The latest car’s cabin now gets a vertical wireless charging pad in the center console, while the start/stop button is also located in the console. Below this, it is equipped with features like 2 cupholders, new gear lever, 12.3-inch infotainment display, 7.0-inch instrument cluster, automatic headlights and keyless entry.
Updated Aster Design
The updated Astor features a newly designed bumper with an updated air intake, giving the SUV a more aggressive look than before. Apart from this, it gets a design language like a wide, black mesh front grille, sleek wraparound headlamps.
Updated Astor Powertrain
In the international market, the Astor engine is mated to a 1.83kWh battery pack and a 100kW electric motor. This motor gives this car a combined power output of 192bhp. These include 1.5-liter engines equipped with hybrid technology. At the same time, the company has launched this hybrid car with a 4-cylinder petrol engine. It produces 101bhp of power and 250Nm of torque.
Updated Astor Price
The starting price of the Astor in the Indian market is expected to be Rs. 10.5 lakhs ex-showroom. There is no official information yet on the possibility of the facelift getting a hybrid powertrain.
