Test purpose:
The main objective of this test is to evaluate the commercial viability of hydrogen-managed trucks in long distance goods transport. The initiative is funded by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy under the National Green Hydrogen Mission.
Test characteristics:
Duration: The test phase will last for 24 months.
vehicle number: This will include 16 hydrogen-operated trucks with various configurations and payload capabilities.
Testing route: These trucks will be tested on major freight routes like Mumbai, Pune, Delhi-NCR, Surat, Vadodara, Jamshedpur and Kalingnagar.

The test will evaluate hydrogen internal combustion engines (H2-states) and hydrogen fuel cell electric vehicles (H2-facev) techniques. The operation range of these trucks is estimated to be between 300 and 500 kilometers, suitable for long distance transport.
