On top of this, other charges like GST, registration, road tax and dealer margin are also levied, due to which its price reaches ₹ 60 lakh.

Since Tesla is not currently building in India, it is also spent millions of rupees in shipping, insurance and custom clearance to bring trains from China’s Shanghai plant to India.
