Greater Noida, 29 March (IANS). The 138th meeting of the Greater Noida Authority Board concluded on Saturday, with a budget of Rs 5,600 crore for the financial year 2025-26. The meeting was chaired by Manoj Kumar Singh, Chief Secretary of the state and chairman of the authority.
In this budget, land acquisition, development and construction works have been given priority. According to the main things that have come out in the budget, a budget of Rs 5,600 crore has been approved. 1,400 crore rupees will be spent on land acquisition. 1,973 crore rupees will be allocated for development works.
Authority CEO NG Ravi Kumar said that in view of the demand of industrial investors, the budget of 2025-26 has been emphasized on land acquisition. Also, projects like a stadium in Greater Noida West, Synthetic Track in Shaheed Vijay Singh Pathik Sports Complex, Metro Construction, Vendor Market, Hospital and Health Center will also be invested.
The board also approved an average increase in the current rates of industrial, residential, commercial and institutional properties. This growth has been fixed on the basis of market rates and rates obtained from e-auction. 77 out of 98 builder projects have benefited under the policy on the recommendations of Amitabh Kant Committee. So far, 35,494 flats have been registered and the work supply certificate has been issued for 40,003 flats.
The plan to develop Shaheed Vijay Singh Pathik Stadium as Center for Excellence has been approved. The general public will also get the benefit of sports facilities. Keeping in mind the increasing traffic of Greater Noida West, the board approved the creation of elevated road via Sector-4 to NH-24. About 400 crore rupees are estimated to be spent on this project.
Cargo terminal will be developed on 260 acres of land under the PM speed power scheme near the ICD of Dadri, which will create more than 15,000 employment opportunities.
The board has approved the rent to the Employees Provident Fund Organization (EPFO), Western Sydney University and a Commercial Court in Greater Noida. Fire equipment will be procured at a cost of Rs 29.48 crore to empower fire service services in Greater Noida region. It includes robot fire, foam tender, highrise fire fighting vehicle and other equipment.
Apart from this, three working women hostels will be built for working women in Greater Noida, for which land will be given on a lease of one rupee annually. CRPF personnel to be posted at Noida Airport will be given empty flats constructed by Greater Noida Authority. Some flats will also be allocated to government departments.
The board has postponed the fine of Rs 100 per day on the delay in the registry, giving big relief to the flat buyers.
