New Delhi, 22 April (IANS). About 70 percent of e-commerce and tech startups in India intend to appoint freshers with high demand for AI-centric roles in the first half of 2025. This information was given in a report on Tuesday.

According to Teamlies Edtech’s ‘Career Outlook Report 2025’, this increase in demand for roles related to AI is also in accordance with the government’s efforts to strengthen the country’s commitment to technological progress and workforce.
The annual Union Budget has allocated Rs 500 crore for the ‘Center of Excellence in AI’ for education, which shows India’s enthusiasm to promote AI research and skills on a large scale.
The report stated that these changes also indicate the important role of AI with increased funding for productivity and automation, especially R&D, digital infrastructure and high-tech skilling programs.
