The central government is soon going to open the lock of its treasury for these employees and pensioners. Yes, according to the information, the central government is soon going to increase dearness allowance i.e. DA for central employees and pensioners. With this step of the government, there will be a bumper increase in the salary of about 1.25 crore people.
According to the reports, the central government is going to increase the DA by 4 percent, which will increase from 34 to 38 percent. There are speculations that the central government can make this big announcement by the month of August this year. However, no official announcement has been made by the Central Government yet.
Salary will increase this much after 38% DA
If the dearness allowance i.e. DA of central employees and pensioners is increased to 4 percent, then it will increase to 38 percent. After this, there will be a bumper increase of Rs 2.60 lakh in the salary of these employees. About 47 lakh central employees and 68 lakh pensioners will get the benefit of this DA increased by the government.
DA gets twice
For information, let us tell you that the central government increases the dearness allowance of its employees twice a year. The first hike in DA is from January to June and the second hike is from July to December. These hikes are decided on the basis of AICPI index data. The allowances of the employees are calculated after comparing the inflation with the All India Consumer Price Index. According to inflation, the government increases DA for its employees.
