Adani Electricity celebrated Fire Service Week in its power distribution sector

Mumbai, 16 April (IANS). To promote fire prevention, Adani Electricity said on Wednesday that it is celebrating ‘Fire Service Week’ in its entire power distribution area from 14 to 20 April.

During this week, several fire safety workshops are being organized for the power warriors of Adani Electricity. This year’s theme “Unite to Ignite, Fire Safe India” has been set, which emphasizes the importance of community participation, education, preparation and innovation in fire safety.

‘Fire Service Week’ is celebrated across the country from 14 to 20 April under the guidance of the Fire Advisor of the Ministry of Home Affairs.

The Fire Service Week is celebrated on April 14, 1944 in memory of those killed in the disastrous fire on Victoria Dock of Mumbai port and subsequent explosions. Its purpose is to increase fire safety in all industries.

Last month, Adani Electricity celebrated ‘National Safety Week 2025’ between 4–10 March.

Adaani Group’s company said in a statement that it is the 54th National Safety Week and this year’s theme is ‘Safety and Health, Important for Developed India’.

According to Adani Electricity, the purpose of this program is to increase awareness and encourage people to adopt security measures at the power distribution area and various work places.

Employees of Adani Electricity participated in the workshop organized by Adani Electricity’s Security Team.

With the aim of promoting students’ learning abilities and increasing learning results, Adani Electricity and Adani Foundation also celebrated the third edition of their annual program ‘Utthan Utsav’ last month. It is part of the company’s ‘upliftment’ CSR project, which helps children in studies.

Under ‘Utthan’, Adani Electricity and Adani Foundation have helped over 25,000 children in 83 government schools in Malad, Dahisar, Borivali, Chembur and Kurla.

Leading power distribution company Adani Electricity serves more than three million customers in Mumbai.
