Mumbai, June 10 (IANS). The country’s veteran electricity distribution company Adani Electricity said on Tuesday that the company has increased its disaster response initiatives with the aim of providing uninterrupted electricity to 31.5 lakh customers in the monsoon season.
Adani Electricity has activated its Central Disaster Control Center (CDCC) to deal with any emergency arising during the monsoon. This important center will organize reaction efforts and will work round the clock, which will ensure quick action and communication throughout the monsoon period.
The company said in a statement, “Seven Quick Response Team (QRT) has been strategically deployed in the distribution network. These teams are equipped with a particularly designed reaction, recovery and restoration schemes for the challenges created during the monsoon season.”
The company said, 98 advanced water level sensors have been integrated along with the Advance Distribution Management System at important places to monitor the rising water level. This setup increases the ability to prevent and respond to flood -related electrical problems.
“Our team is fully prepared to deal with the challenges related to the supply in the monsoon season. We are committed to ensure the safety of our consumers and maintain reliable power supply,” said Adani Electricity spokesperson said.
Apart from this, Adani Electricity has done pre-monsoon inspection and maintenance on a large scale before the rain. The equipment has been raised up to prevent water damage in low -lying areas. Materials, emergency vehicles, diesel generators and divine pumps are strategically deployed to deal with any emergency.
