Ahmedabad, 30 May (IANS). Adani Energy Solutions Limited (AESL) said on Friday that it has won an inter-state transmission project of Rs 1,660 crore in Maharashtra.
The purview of this project includes the establishment of the 3,000 MW-MPARE (MVA) capacity substations, besides the installation of other related transmission infrastructure, which will reach AESL’s total transmission network 26,696 CKM (CKM) and 93,236 MVA transformation capacity.
AESL, India’s largest private transmission and distribution company and Adani Group, said that the project would be operational by January 2028.
Located under the Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV), WRNES Talegaon Power Transmission Limited, the project will help in extracting 1.5 GW of green electricity from the upcoming hydro pump storage projects (PSP) in this project area and will help meet the demand for Mumbai and surrounding areas.
Project SPV has been formally transferred to AESL.
The AESL has won the Inter-State Transmission System (ISTS) project under the Tariff-based competitive bid (TBCB) system and was REC Power Development and Consultancy Limited (RECPDCL) bidding process coordinator.
The company said that with this order win, AESL’s transmission orderbook has now increased to Rs 61,600 crore.
AESL’s net profit in FY 25 increased by 103 percent to all-time high at Rs 2,427 crore.
With this, the company’s profit increased by 87 percent to Rs 714 crore during the January-March period.
In FY 25, the total income of Adani Group’s company increased by 42 percent to Rs 24,447 crore on an annual basis. The reason for this is to increase income from transmission projects, record sales of electricity in Mumbai and Mundra and good performance of smart meter business.
The EBITDA increased 23 percent to a record high level of Rs 7,746 crore for the entire financial year 25, which is due to double -point income hike in the transmission segment and the continuous expansion of Mumbai power distribution business in EBITDA.
