Ahmedabad, 10 February (IANS). Adaani Group Chairman Gautam Adani on Monday announced the introduction of Adani Health City (AHC) in partnership with the US -based Mayo Clinic, which aims to become a pioneer in world class medical research, affordable healthcare and education.
Adani family will donate more than Rs 6,000 crore for the construction of the first two integrated health campuses in Ahmedabad and Mumbai. In this, two 1,000-bed multi-super-specialty hospitals and medical colleges will be built in Mumbai and Ahmedabad.
This donation of Rs 6,000 crore is part of the recent announcement of social donation of Rs 10,000 crore made by billionaire industrialist at his son Jeet Adani’s wedding, which will be deployed in various social work.
The company said that Gautam Adani has planned to create more such integrated Adani health cities in cities and towns across the country.
Adaani Group chairperson said in a post on social media platform ‘X’, “Partnership with Mayo Clinic is proud to launch Adani Health City, which will lead to world class medical research, cheap healthcare and education.”
He further said, “Starting with two hospitals and medical colleges with 1,000 beds in Ahmedabad and Mumbai, we are on a mission to bring state -of -the -art medical innovation across India. This is just the beginning for a healthy, strong India.”
Mayo Clinic is the world’s largest integrated non-profit medical group and will provide technical expertise at AHC.
Each of these integrated AHC complexes will include hospitals, 150 graduates, more than 80 residents and annual admissions of more than 40 fellow with medical colleges, step-downs and transitional care facilities and state-of-the-art research facilities.
AHC Medical Ecosystem aims to serve people of all socio-economic backgrounds, train the next generation doctors and focus on research.
