Ahmedabad, October 24 (IANS). The results were released by Adani Wilmar Limited on Thursday. The company has recorded the highest ever profit of Rs 624 crore in the first half of the financial year 2024-25.
The standalone profit of Adani Group’s FMCG company in the second quarter of the financial year 2024-25 was Rs 326 crore, which was Rs 324 crore in the first quarter of the current financial year.
The company’s income on quarterly basis has been Rs 14,460 crore. There has been an increase of 18 percent on annual basis.
Adani Wilmar MD and CEO Angshu Malik said that we have delivered another strong performance in the quarter. The company has performed strongly in the edible oil, food and FMCG segments.
Malik further said that we are becoming the second and third largest player in the business of wheat flour and basmati rice respectively. Backed by branding investment coupled with trust and quality, our flagship brand ‘Fortune’ is gaining good acceptance among consumers for its complete range of kitchen essentials.
Edible Oils and Food & FMCG segments have seen strong double digit revenue growth of 21 per cent and 34 per cent respectively YoY.
Edible oil segment revenue grew 21 percent year-on-year to Rs 10,977 crore in the second quarter. This increase was mainly due to the strong performance of soybean, sunflower and mustard oils. This was the third consecutive quarter with double-digit volume growth.
Food and FMCG segment revenue grew 34 per cent to Rs 1,718 crore. Excluding G2G export business, volume growth of food and FMCG business stood at 21 per cent year-on-year.
