Adani Wilmar
Edible oil company Adani Wilmar Limited has started operation of its food processing plant in Sonipat, Haryana. The company has established it with an investment of approximately Rs 1,300 crore. Adani Wilmar said in a stock exchange filing that it has started operations at its integrated food processing plant in Gohana, Sonipat. “This food complex is one of the largest in the country, built with capital of Rs 1,298 crore raised from IPO (initial public offering),” the company said. This plant will help in creating 2,000 direct and indirect jobs in Haryana. The facility is spread over 85 acres and has a total annual production capacity of 6.27 lakh tonnes.
4,50,000 tonnes of food products will be produced
This plant will produce 4,50,000 tonnes of food products including rice, wheat flour, semolina, rava and maida. Also, two lakh tonnes of edible oils like mustard oil, rice bran oil and cotton seed oil, besides mustard DOC and rice bran DOC for animal feed will be produced. Last month, business conglomerate Adani Group had announced its exit from Adani Wilmar. Adani Wilmar manufactures Fortune brand of edible oils, wheat flour and other food products.
The stock closed with a decline
Adani Wilmar shares closed with a decline on Friday, the last trading day of the week. Adani Wilmar shares closed at Rs 251.85 on Friday, down 3.71 per cent or Rs 9.70 on the Bombay Stock Exchange. 52 week high of this share is Rs 408.70. Whereas, 52 week low is Rs 251. The market cap of the company is Rs 32,732.41 crore.
