Tata Power will invest Rs 30,000 crore in Assam
More than 110 MoUs were signed on Tuesday on the first day of Assam’s Business Summit with an investment proposal of about Rs 1.89 lakh crore. A senior official said that this figure is expected to increase a significant increase in the two-day business summit ‘Advantage Assam’. A memorandum (MoU) has been signed with several top PSUs and private companies for investment in this state of the Northeast. Along with this, non-financial MoUs have been signed with foreign units. Assam Chief Minister Himanta Vishwa Sharma said on Tuesday that by 2030 the economy of Assam would be $ 143 billion. He said that this year the GDP growth of the state will be 15.2 percent.
Tata Power will invest Rs 30,000 crore in Assam
The official said that in the agreements so far, Rs 30,000 crore with Tata Power, Rs 7,000 crore with JSW Group, Rs 5,850 crore with Greenco Energe Private Limited, Rs 5,000 crore with Adani Total Gas Limited, Rs 5,000 crore with Adani Total Gas Limited, PNB Investment Services Limited Along with a compromise of Rs 3,000 crore and Rs 2,100 crore with Essar Group. He said that on the first day, the government companies signing the major settlement memorandum include Oil India Limited, which has promised an investment of Rs 23,300 crore.
PNB, DP World, Welspun, Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation also committed
Numaligarh Refinery has proposed an investment of Rs 10,711 crore. The Chief Minister’s Office wrote on the social media platform ‘X’, “On the first day of Advantage Assam, 114 MoUs were signed for a total investment proposals of Rs 1.89 lakh crore. Companies that have expressed commitment to investment in the state include Adani Total Gas, Tata Power, ONGC, Oil India, Essar Group, JSW Energy, AMUL, PNB, DP World, Welspun, Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and NRL etc. . ”
