After 3 days of relief, deep wound again, Sensex fell 423 and Nifty 109 points - India TV Hindi

Share Market Closing 17th January, 2025: After breathing a sigh of relief for 3 days, today once again the stock market investors got a big shock. On Friday, the last day of the week, BSE Sensex closed at 76,619.33 points with a fall of 423.49 points (0.55%). On the other hand, NSE’s Nifty 50 index also closed at 23,203.20 points today with a decline of 108.61 points (0.47%). Let us tell you that on Thursday, Indian markets closed with a decent gain. Yesterday, Sensex closed at 77,042.82 points with a gain of 318.74 points and Nifty closed at 23,311.80 points with a gain of 98.60 points.

Zomato shares rose by more than 2.50 percent

Today, shares of 15 out of 30 Sensex companies closed in the green with gains, while shares of only 15 companies closed in the red with a decline. Similarly, shares of 29 out of 50 companies of Nifty 50 closed in the green mark with gains and shares of 21 companies closed in the red mark with losses. Among Sensex companies, Zomato shares closed the highest today with a gain of 2.79 percent. Whereas, Infosys shares closed with maximum fall of 5.77 percent.

Shares of these companies closed in the green.

Among Sensex companies today, shares of Reliance Industries 2.57 percent, Nestle India 2.26 percent, Tata Steel 1.96 percent, Asian Paints 1.95 percent, ITC 1.70 percent, Power Grid 1.65 percent, Larsen & Toubro 1.60 percent, Sun Pharma 1.28 percent, Titan 1.23 percent, Adani Ports 1.08 percent, Tata Shares of Motors closed up by 0.65 percent, Hindustan Unilever by 0.36 percent, NTPC by 0.25 percent and Maruti Suzuki by 0.13 percent.

Shares closing in the red

Axis Bank shares today 4.71%, Kotak Mahindra Bank 2.58%, Mahindra & Mahindra 2.11%, TCS 1.96%, ICICI Bank 1.91%, Tech Mahindra 1.81%, Bajaj Finance 1.11%, HDFC Bank 0.97%, Bajaj Finserv 0.81%, UltraTech Cement 0.53 percent, Shares of IndusInd Bank closed down by 0.41 per cent, State Bank of India by 0.30 per cent, Bharti Airtel by 0.25 per cent and HCL Tech by 0.12 per cent.
