Microsoft has recently bought a human waste of Rs 14,000 crore. It may sound strange to hear, but its purpose is very important. According to a report published in Bhaskarenglish.in, the deal has been with American company Walted Deep, under which about 49 lakh tonnes of carbon dioxide will be removed from the earth in the next 12 years. The technique used for this mission is extremely different and unique. Valted deep injects such bio-masters into the layers of rocks thousands below the ground.
Emission of dangerous gases will be stopped
This includes human stool (biosalid), animal dung, paper waste, food and beverages and agricultural waste. All these are first converted into liquid, then the carbon is sent deeply to press permanently. This entire process not only reduces carbon levels, but also prevents emissions of dangerous gases like methane.
Microsoft believes that such projects will play an important role in reducing carbon emissions, especially from their data centers.
An attempt for environmental protection
The cost of removing a tonne carbon is estimated at around Rs 30,000. That is, it is an expensive but necessary deal for environmental protection. The company says that this will benefit the climate immediately.
Valted Deep has been using this technique since 2008 and has been allowed to implement it in many states of America.
Google-Amazon also engaged in saving the earth
Companies like Google, Amazon are also investing in green energy and sustainable techniques for the environment. Such steps show that technology is now being used not only for development, but also to save the earth.
