New Delhi, 16 May (IANS). After the cancellation of security clearance in India, the shares of Türkiye’s Ground-Handling Company Selebi Airport Services fell by 10 percent on Friday.
In the last four trading sessions, the stock of Celebi Airport Services has slipped about 30 percent.
During the Indo-Pakistan struggle during the ‘Operation Sindoor’, Turkey openly supported the neighboring country, after which the demand for boys of Turkish companies is arising across the country.
The Civil Aviation Ministry said on Thursday, “Security clearance of Celebi Airport Services India Private Limited is canceled with immediate effect,” the Ministry of Civil Aviation said.
Minister of State for Civil Aviation and Cooperation Muralidhar Mohol said, “Realizing the seriousness of the matter and the call to protect the national interests, we have taken cognizance of these requests and the Civil Aviation Ministry has canceled the security approval of the said company. It is our highest priority to ensure the security and interests of the said company.”
According to the directives of the Civil Aviation Security Bureau of Security (BCAS), Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL) has canceled the contract with the Celebi responsible for ground handling and cargo operation at Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA).
Adaani Airport Holdings has terminated the ground handling agreement with the Turkish company Celebi at Mumbai and Ahmedabad Airport with immediate effect.
Following the government’s order, the ground handling operation of Celebi Aviation has been suspended at Kempe Gowda International Airport in Bengaluru.
Since its debut in 2008, Celebbi has expanded its presence in India’s aviation sector.
According to reports, the partial ownership of the firm is with Tayyip Erdogan’s daughter Sumey Erdogan. Sumey Erdogan is married to Selkuk Berakatar, whose company Berakatar manufactures military drones which was used by Pakistan against India.
