The unique thing here was that whoever was selected for this post had to first pay Rs 20 lakh to the company and work for free for the first year. This unique vacancy went viral on social media and people started making memes. Deepinder Goyal has received more than 18,000 applications for this vacancy. After Goyal, now Shaadi.com owner Anupam Mittal has also released a vacancy.

Shaadi.com founder Anupam Mittal has posted a post on LinkedIn. In this post he has told about the vacancy. Mittal wrote, ‘Those who cannot afford to give Rs 20 lakh to my friend Deepi, send your application to me. I am also recruiting for a Chief of Staff. However, I don’t know what anyone does. Zomato CEO Deepinder Goyal has said that he has received 18,000 applications for the post of Chief of Staff. Goyal writes, ‘We are now stopping taking applications for the post of Chief of Staff. We have received more than 18,000 applications. We will go through all these applications over the next week and reach out to the person who is best suited for the post. He also wrote that actually taking Rs 20 lakh from people was not a part of the plan.
