Mumbai, 12 June (IANS). Aviation expert Vipul Saxena said on Thursday that the reason for the Ahmedabad plane crash could be a major malfunction in the control.
Air India flight AI 171 crashed from Ahmedabad to London. It had 242 people, including the cabin crew.
Vipul Saxena told news agency IANS that this is a very serious accident. Such incidents have reduced significantly in aviation.
He added, “Whenever an aircraft fly, there is every type of investigation in it. Pilots and engineers all check.”
Saxena said, “It was a very good aircraft. I don’t think both of its engines would have failed together. All the pilots were also very experienced. Their mistakes are very low.”
Talking to IANS, Saxena said, “I believe that there may be a major malfunction in the controller due to the fall of this aircraft.”
Produced by Boeing, this Air India aircraft was going from Ahmedabad to London and crashed shortly after flying.
The accident occurred near Meghaninagar area of Ahmedabad. The aircraft crashed during the take-off. Black smoke has been seen rising in the sky from the scene immediately after the plane crashed. This estimates heavy losses in the aircraft accident.
After the plane crash, several fire brigade vehicles reached the spot. Relief and rescue work is being done. However, no official information has been revealed about how much life and property has been damaged in this accident.
Air India said on the social media handle ‘X’, “Flight AI 171 was going from Ahmedabad to London Gatwick. Today has been an accident on 12 June. We are currently investigating the details and will share more information on our social media platform ‘X’ and Air India website in this matter.”
