New Delhi, March 22 (IANS). Madhusudan Aggarwal, an honorary consignment of Uganda in Mumbai and a famous philanthropic man, was recently awarded the ‘Counselor of the Year’ award. The award was given to him by the Honorary Counselor Corps Diplomatic-India (HCCD).
Agarwal is the co-founder and vice-president of Ajanta Pharma. He is also the General Secretary of HCCD Mumbai and director of HCCD India. He received this prestigious honor by recognizing his contribution, dedication to diplomacy and social welfare in strengthening India-Yuganda relations.
Aggarwal said about this award, “I am really honored by receiving this prestigious award from HCCD. This honor is not only for me – this is my family, my colleagues in Ajanta Pharma and my team of Mamta and Madhusudan Aggarwal Foundation, who are making tireless efforts for the betterment of society.
He also said that this honor gives him an opportunity to commit more commitment to his actions.
He added, “This award is reminiscent that a lot is still yet to be done. I am committed to expanding my healthcare initiatives, strengthening India -Yaganda relations and working towards a healthy, better world. As India ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’ – the world is a family – I will continue to serve with this feeling.”
Aggarwal has made many important contribution in his life. He has done important work in the field of cancer awareness and treatment in Uganda. His most important contribution is to donate a mammography van called ‘Hope Express’ to Uganda Cancer Institute. This mobile cancer screening unit helps to detect timely detection of breast and cervical cancer. More than 300,000 women have benefited through this van, and more than 1,500 people have been saved. This initiative has proved to be an important step for cancer related treatment in Uganda.
Aggarwal has also played an important role in bringing more than 100 children from Uganda to India for life -saving heart surgery. He ensured that these children received the best medical care without any expenses. This mission will continue continuously, and they are committed to giving life to more children in the future.
In addition, he has also launched an artificial limb program in Uganda. Through this program, artificial limbs are being provided to people affected by landmine and accidents. Their goal is to donate and plant 1,000 prostheses, helping affected persons to live dynamics and independent lives. The event is proving to be a major relief for the citizens of Uganda, and is helping to improve their life quality.
In India, Aggarwal has established the Madhusudan Agrawal Foundation in Andheri (E), Mumbai through her Sanjeevani Mamta Hospital, a unit of Mamta &. Under this foundation, they provide initial identification and concessional treatment for breast and cervical cancer patients. He has set up free cancer check camps so that no person is deprived of important healthcare despite financial obstacles. Aggarwal also appreciated Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Ayushman Bharat Yojana, which offers affordable and accessible health services. According to him, the scheme has been successful in providing treatment without any cost to more than 6.8 million cancer patients and as a result of 36 percent improvement in the early identification rate of cancer.
Aggarwal’s approach is clear, “Under PM Modi’s leadership, India has become a global leader in healthcare, which ensures quality treatment for all, whether his financial background is anything. Their vision of ‘Developed India 2047’ inspires me to continue his mission of public welfare.”
His contribution in the field of business, diplomacy and philanthropy has given him many prestigious honors.
