New Delhi, 14 April (IANS). IndiGo, the country’s largest airline, announced on Monday that all its flights to be operated from Terminal 2 (T2) of Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA) in Delhi from Tuesday (April 15) will now operate from Terminal 1 (T1).
The airline confirmed that with this change, IndiGo flights would be operated from both T1 and Terminal 3 (T3).
The airline said in a statement, “With the implementation of this change, IndiGo will now operate from Terminal 1 and Terminal 3 of Indira Gandhi International Airport, New Delhi.”
The move has been taken after the Delhi International Airport Limited (Dial )’s decision to close Terminal 2 for the main maintenance and update of the runway.
Under the plan to improve infrastructure, T2 will remain closed for the next four to six months. During this period, the airlines have been asked to shift their operations on T1 and T3.
The Airports Authority of India had earlier stated that the work is likely to be completed by the second quarter of the current financial year.
To reduce disruption and confusion, IndiGo has issued a consultation for all passengers.
The airline said it is actively informing customers and travel agents through SMS, phone calls and emails.
The airline has urged passengers to check the new terminal and flight status on the IndiGo website or mobile app before visiting the airport.
IndiGo said, “In view of the predetermined maintenance activity, the flights already already prescribed from Delhi Terminal 2 have now been re -assigned to Terminal 1 since 15 April 2025. We request you to check the terminal details and your flight status on our website before going to the airport, as there may be changes in the flying.”
IndiGo also reiterated its commitment to provide a spontaneous travel experience to passengers in their network, assuring passengers cheap, timely and hassle -free service.
Passengers can contact Indigo’s customer service center for inquiry or assistance or also use the ‘6E Sky’ chatbot on the airline website.
