US tariff
At this time, the eyes of the whole world are on the announcement on the tariff of US President Donald Trump. Trump will announce the tariff in a program at 4 pm on Wednesday, US time. They are going to apply reciperook tariffs on all countries today. SC Ralhan, chairman of the federation of Indian export organizations (Fio), said on Wednesday that the Indian exporting community is ‘very much’ for the US possible retaliation, as it could seriously hurt the export of micro, small and medium enterprises (MSME) to be done to the US.
MSME may have serious effects
He suggested that the government should come forward and support exporters to deal with these fees. Ralhan told PTI-language, “The recipe is mangable in the 10 per cent limit, but more tariffs may have a serious impact on the Indian exporting community, especially MSME, especially MSME.” He said that American fees will definitely affect the demand for Indian goods in the US market. Buyers are already stopping their orders, as there is uncertainty about import duty.
These sectors can be affected
Products of various sectors including agriculture, precious stone, chemical, pharma, medical equipment, electrical and machinery can be affected by American tariffs. US President Donald Trump has said that tariff announcements prescribed for the US will be a ‘Acquisition Day’ for the US on Thursday morning (India’s time). Ralhan said that the impact of these charges could be seen in the first quarter trading figures of 2025-26.
