Lucknow, 2 July (IANS). The Yogi Adityanath government of Uttar Pradesh is constantly setting new standards in the field of industrial development. Digital implementation of civil facilities in industrial areas through e-governance by Uttar Pradesh State Industrial Development Authority (UPCIDA) is making the state a pioneer towards ‘Ease of Doing Business’.
Entrepreneurs are now getting 37 types of services online through investment friend portal. In the last 5 years, there has been a continuous increase in the number of online applications and their quick disposal. A total of 9,719 applications were settled in 2024–25, which shows an increase of about 60% compared to 6,094 applications of 2020–21.
The satisfaction of entrepreneurs is also a proof of the success of the policies of the Yogi government. The feedback level received on ‘Investment Friends’ in 2024-25 was 96.63%, which is a significant progress compared to previous years.
The government has also made the process of land allocation more transparent and timely. Now mega units are being allotted land in only 15 days, while in the normal e-auction process, the time limit has been reduced from 30 days to 15 days.
Along with this, financial institutions have been exempted from double stamp duty, which has further increased the trust of investors.
The intention of the Yogi government is clear that investors have to provide simple, transparent and technical environment, so that Uttar Pradesh can soon become an industrial engine of India. Under this, UPCida fully adopts technology and identifies drone survey and encroached plots of industrial areas through GIS One Map Portal.
Also, real time data is being provided through MIS, OBPAS software and mobile apps.
Initiatives such as integration with PM speed power and mobile application for patch management are bringing Uttar Pradesh in the queue of India’s fastest developing industrial states.
