The Board of Directors of India’s largest integrated transport utility company Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Limited (APSEZ) has given Abbott Point Port Holdings Private Limited (APPH), Singapore to Abbott Point Port Holdings Private Limited (APPH) from Carmail Rail and Port Singapore Holdings Private Limited, Singapore (CRPSHPL). CRPSHPL is a related side. APPH has units that owe and operate the North Queenland Export Terminal, a dedicated export terminal with the current nameplate capacity of 50 million tonnes per year (MTPA). The terminal is located at the port of Abbott Point, about 25 km from Bowen in North Queensland on the east coast of Australia.

APSEZ will release 14.38 crore equity shares

According to the news, the transaction will be completed on non-cash basis. Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Limited, Abbot Point Holdings Private Limited will issue a 14.38 crore equity share to CRPSHPL in exchange for acquisition of 100% stake in Private Limited.

It is based on the enterprise value of A $ 3,975 million NQXT. As part of the transaction, the balance sheet of the Apsez APP will also receive other non-facilitated assets and liabilities, which APSEZ will achieve within a few months of acquisition (zero net effects on the evaluation of transactions). After the transaction, the leverage of Apsez will remain at the same levels.

An important step in international strategy

Speaking on the acquisition, APSEZ full -time director and CEO Ashwini Gupta said, “NQXT’s acquisition is an important step in our international strategy, opening new export markets and achieving long -term contracts with valuable users.” Situated strategically on the East-West Trade Corridor, NQXT is ready for strong growth as a high performance property, which is inspired by increased capacity, upcoming contract renewal in the medium period and green hydrogen exports in the long term.

He said that we are targeting to increase Ebitda to A $ 400 million within 4 years. I am proud to welcome NQXT in our ‘development with goodness’, as it is an example of our commitment to high standards in environment, social and governance practices.
