Arun Srinivas was appointed as Managing Director and Head of Meta in India

New Delhi, 16 June (IANS). Meta has appointed Arun Srinivas as Managing Director and Head for his Indian operations.

Arun Srinivas will replace Sandhya Devathan in Meta, recently the company has made the head of India and South East Asia.

Technology giant said in a statement, “We are appointing Arun Srinivas as the Managing Director and Head of Meta in India.”

Srinivas in the new role will focus on bringing the company’s business, innovation and income preferences together to serve partners and customers, as well as continue to support the long -term development of Meta’s business and the commitments of the company made to India.

Meta said Srinivas would lead the Bharat Charter and strengthen strategic relations with major brands, advertisers, developers and partners of the country to develop India as a market.

The company said that he would come in its new role from July 1, 2025 and will continue to report to Devathan.

Meta Vice President (India and South East Asia) Devathan said, “India is a leader in the case of adoption, WhatsApp and Reels, and Arun’s impressive track records in the formation of well -performing teams, promoting product innovation and promoting strong partnerships make him an ideal lidaries to advance the constant investment of Meta in the country.”

Srinivas, a post-graduate from IIM Kolkata, has about three decades in the roles of sales and marketing in companies such as Hindustan Unilever, Reebok, Ola and Investment Firm Westbridge Capital.

Srinivas is currently acting as the director and head of the advertising business in India.

After joining the company in 2020, the country’s largest advertisers and agency partners have led to the work of meta.
