He said that Asia’s longest hyperloop tube will be prepared in this project. He said that its length will be 410 meters and it will soon become the longest hyperloop in the world. The Minister of Railways, Information and Broadcasting and Information Technology inspected the hyperloop project in IIT Madras on 15 March. He said that Electronics Component Technology for Hyperloop Project will be developed at ‘Integral Coach Factory’ in Chennai.

In a post on social media platform ‘X’ on Sunday, Vaishnav shared a video of his visit to the IIT Madras campus, saying, “The longest hyperloop tube (410 m) in Asia will be the world’s longest soon.” Hyperloop is considered the fifth way of transport. It is a high-speed train that travels almost in a vacuum tube. The capsules inside the low air resistance tube help to reach a speed of more than 1,000 kmph. In May, 2022, the Ministry of Railways approved an allocation of Rs 8.34 crore to IIT Madras to develop and validate the hyperloop transport system and its sub-officials.
