New Delhi. CBI has got a big success in the PNB Bank fraud case. Subhash Shankar, a close aide of Nirav Modi, has been brought to Mumbai by a CBI team from Egypt’s Cairo city in connection with the Rs 13,578 crore Punjab National Bank scam. The CBI managed to bring back Subhash Shankar, a close aide of fugitive businessman Nirav Modi, from Cairo, while conducting a major operation. For a long time, the CBI was trying to bring Subhash Shankar to India. CBI carried out this entire work through a big operation. 49-year-old Subhash Shankar had fled India with Nirav Modi in 2018. Since then the CBI was trying to bring him back to the country. Subhash Shankar is one of the accused in the PNB Bank scam case. In the PNB scam case, the CBI had accused Nirav Modi of tampering with evidence and influencing witnesses. He is also accused of forcibly kidnapping some of his employees and taking them to Cairo. Subhash Shankar is considered the most special of Nirav Modi. In such a situation, it is expected that after the arrival of Subhash to India, the CBI will also help in tightening the noose on Nirav.
Now it is believed that soon the way to bring Nirav Modi to India can also be cleared. CBI will now present Subhash Shankar in Mumbai court. From here the custody of Subhash will be sought. After taking his custody, the CBI will conduct important interrogation of Subhash Shankar in the PNB scam case. Subhash Shankar was working as DGM Finance in Nirav Modi’s company during the fraud and scam with the bank. He is also considered very close and close to Nirav Modi. In the year 2018, Interpol had issued a red corner notice against Nirav Modi, his brother Nishal Modi and his employee Subhash on the request of the CBI probing the PNB scam. In this whole case, Nirav Modi was also accused of forcibly kidnapping some of his employees and taking them to Cairo.
