Banks will remain closed tomorrow on 15th November due to Guru Nanak Jayanti, know when, where and for how many days banks will remain closed this month.

Business News Desk – Banks will remain closed in many states of the country on Friday, November 15, 2024, on the occasion of Guru Nanak Jayanti and Kartik Purnima. According to the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) holiday list, this day is celebrated in Mizoram, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Chandigarh, Uttarakhand, Telangana, Arunachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, Jammu, Uttar Pradesh, Nagaland, West Bengal, New Delhi, Chhattisgarh, Bank branch service will not be available in Jharkhand, Himachal Pradesh and Srinagar.

Importance of Guru Nanak Jayanti
Guru Nanak Jayanti, also known as Guru Nanak Prakash Utsav, is celebrated to mark the birth anniversary of the founder of Sikhism and the first Sikh Guru, Guru Nanak. This festival is celebrated on the full moon day of Kartik month and is very important for the Sikh community.

Other Bank Holidays (November 2024)
November 18: Banks will remain closed in Karnataka on the occasion of Kanakadasa Jayanti.
23 November: Bank holiday on Senge Kutsanem festival in Meghalaya.
Banks are closed on Sundays, second and fourth Saturdays along with other holidays in November. Customers should plan their banking services according to these dates.

Banks will remain closed in these states of the country
November 15 (Friday): Guru Nanak Jayanti/Kartik Purnima – Banks will remain closed in Mizoram, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha and other states.
17 November (Sunday): Holiday.
November 18 (Monday): Banks will remain closed in Karnataka for Kanakadas Jayanti.
23 November (Saturday): Fourth Saturday and Senkut Snei festival in Meghalaya.
November 24 (Sunday): Banks will remain closed across the country.
