Bharat Bandh Live: Today is the second day of Bharat Bandh. Many employee organizations had announced Bharat Bandh on 28 March and 29 March against the policies of the Government of India. Services from transport to banks were partially affected on the first day. Keeping this strike in mind, it was said in the statement issued by SBI that the customers do not face any problem, so necessary arrangements have been made. However, services may remain affected during this period. On the other hand, Punjab National Bank was also feared that services would be affected. In such a situation, if you are also going out for any important work, then definitely check whether other services including the bank are not closed due to the strike.
What services are affected today
Like yesterday, the effect of Bharat Bandh can be clearly seen in South India even today. Kerala’s Trivandrum shops are closed. how was yesterday
Banking services were partially affected on Monday due to the support of a section of bank employees to the two-day nationwide general strike by trade unions. A section of bank employees did not turn up for work on Monday in support of the strike. Employees of public sector banks did not turn up for work due to the strike, affecting transactions. Apart from this, check clearing and other activities were also affected. However, the functioning of the new generation private sector banks and foreign banks remained unaffected.
According to reports received from various sectors, the operations of the country’s largest lender State Bank of India also remained normal during this period. Most of the SBI employees and officers do not belong to the unions that have called for the strike. All India Bank Employees Association (AIBEA) general secretary CH Venkatachalam claimed that the impact of this strike is being seen more in eastern India. He said that all branches of public sector banks are closed. In other areas, the work was affected due to the absence of employees in the branches of banks despite the presence of officers.
