Bharti Airtel’s network will be environment friendly
India’s leading telecom company Bharti Airtel has given a contract worth billions of dollars to Finland’s telecom equipment company Nokia. This contract given by Bharti Airtel to Nokia will last for many years. Under this deal between the two companies, Nokia will install 4G and 5G devices in major cities and states of India. This information was given in the statement issued on Wednesday. According to the contract, Nokia will install equipment from its 5G airscale portfolio. These include the latest generation of base stations, baseband units and massive MIMO radios, all powered by its energy-efficient ‘ReefShark System-on-Chip technology’.

“Nokia has been awarded a multi-billion dollar expansion contract by Bharti Airtel to deploy devices across key Indian cities and states as part of its 4G and 5G network expansion plan,” the statement said. These solutions will enhance Airtel’s network with exceptional 5G capacity and coverage and support its network growth. Under this deal between the two companies, Nokia will also modernize Airtel’s existing 4G network with multiband radio and baseband devices, which can also support 5G networks.
