BHEL's income increased by 19 percent to Rs 27,350 crore in FY 2024-25

New Delhi, 20 April (IANS). The income of the government company Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) has increased by 19 percent to Rs 27,350 crore on an annual basis in FY 2024-25. This information was given by the company on Sunday.

In the last financial year, the company has so far received orders worth Rs 92,534 crore in history, causing the company’s order book to increase to Rs 1,95,922 crore.

In FY 2024-25, the company has received orders worth Rs 81,349 crore in the power sector and BHEL has orders to make a total of 39 boilers.

BHEL has been ordered by Adani Power to install 14 boilers, followed by the National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) ordered for 11 boilers. Government companies in Chhattisgarh, Gujarat and Maharashtra have also ordered boilers. The number of boiler orders given by Neveli Lignite Corporation (NLC) and Damodar Valley Corporation (DVC) is three and four respectively. Out of 39 boilers, 31 are orders of 800 MW and eight 660 MW.

Recently, BHEL has received LOI for engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) of two 660 MW ‘supercruitical’ thermal power plant of 660 MW in Hasdev Thermal Power Station located in Korba district of Chhattisgarh. This agreement will include the supply of supercratical equipment, including boilers, turbines, generators and other related accessories, as well as construction of civil functions.

The company said that in the financial year 2024-25, BHEL has received new orders worth Rs 11,185 crore in the industrial segment, which shows the company’s strong market status in areas from transportation, defense, process industry and industrial devices.

According to the company’s statement, BHEL has introduced 8.1 GW of thermal power capacity, which reflects the company’s continuous focus on project delivery and operational efficiency.
