New Delhi, May 29 (IANS). Dilip Kumar, Executive Director of Information and Publicity in the Railway Board, said on Thursday that Bihar is the only state in the whole country where Vande Bharat Express, Amrit Bharat Train and Namo Bharat Rapid Rail are being provided.
Talking to the news agency IANS, Dilip Kumar said, “Vande Bharat Express, Amrit Bharat Train and Namo Bharat Rapid Railway are Triveni of modern railway system. These three types of trains are operating in Bihar and this is the only state in the country where the trains of these three categories are getting the convenience of travelers.”
He further informed that apart from Vande Bharat Express, two Amrit Bharat Trains are being operated in the state. First- Darbhanga to Anand Vihar and second- serves from Saharsa to Mumbai.
Senior railway official told IANS that the second Namo Bharat Rapid Rail of the country is being operated between Jayanagar to Patna.
According to Kumar, a large scale work is also being done under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme in Bihar. For this, 98 stations of the state have been selected. Work has been completed at 2 of these stations, named Pirpainti and Thawe.
Recently, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated 103 stations across the country under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme.
Kumar further said, “The stations that are currently undergoing work under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme include the names of stations like Patna, Gaya, Darbhanga and Muzaffarpur.”
He finally said that the government has a lot of focus on Bihar’s projects. We hope that the work of many more projects will be completed in the coming time and this will facilitate the passengers coming to Bihar and going from here.
