The Bihar Pavilion was on Wednesday awarded the prestigious ‘Gold’ award for its exceptional design, thematic presentation and sustainability showcase at the 43rd Indian International Trade Fair (IITF). The award distribution ceremony took place at the Amphitheater, Musical Fountain (near Hall-1) of Bharat Mandapam here. Earlier, the pavilion was inaugurated by Bihar’s Industries and Tourism Minister Nitish Mishra, who highlighted the progressive pace of the state through its unique theme ‘Developed Bihar under Developed India @ 2047’.
Proud moment for the state
After receiving the award, Nodal Director Nikhil Dhanraj Nippanikar highlighted the collective effort of the state in creating such a pavilion which was in line with Bihar’s journey towards economic self-reliance and cultural preservation. He said, “This award is a testament to the vision of Bihar and the tireless efforts of everyone involved in decorating the pavilion. “It reflects not only our rich cultural heritage but also our progress in industrial and economic development.” Bandana Preyasi, Secretary, Industries Department, Government of Bihar, said that it is a proud moment for the state to get recognition for Bihar Pavilion in IITF-2024.
Bridge between tradition and modernity
Alok Ranjan Ghosh, Director of Industries Department of Bihar, described this recognition as a reflection of Bihar’s commitment to build a bridge between tradition and modernity. He attributed the success of the pavilion to careful planning and collaboration between departments. Ghosh said, “This achievement is an important milestone for Bihar. This reaffirms its position as a progressive state that embraces its heritage and moves forward on a progressive path. The Bihar Pavilion symbolizes the state’s aspirations and efforts to realize its vision of a developed Bihar by 2047.” There were 75 stalls in Bihar Pavilion. The pavilion presented a wide mix of traditional arts of Bihar, sustainable industrial practices and visionary development initiatives. The Bihar Pavilion showcased highlights of the state’s key initiatives such as the Mukhyamantri Udyami Yojana and Startup Bihar, showcasing entrepreneurship and innovation.
