Budget 2025: The government’s preparations are in full swing for the Union Budget to be presented for the financial year 2025-26. Different sectors of the country and the people associated with them have high expectations from the government this time. Talking about Railways, many companies associated with this sector as well as common passengers have high expectations from the budget. On the other hand, like always, this time too the government can make some big announcements for the development of railways. Experts believe that this time the government can allocate additional 18 percent for Railways.
Railway’s big plan regarding armor protection system
Let us tell you that in the full budget presented in July last year, the Central Government had announced a record capital expenditure (capex) of Rs 2,62,200 crore for the Railways. Actually, the government is very serious about the safety of passengers and infra. According to the plan of the Railway Ministry, armor protection system is to be installed in 10,000 train engines (locomotive) in the next 2 years. Along with this, Railways is also working to achieve the target of installing armor protection system on 15,000 km rail routes across the country. The budgetary outlay for all these is estimated at Rs 12,000 crore.
New Vande Bharat and Amrit Bharat trains may be announced
Apart from this, new Vande Bharat and Amrit Bharat trains may be announced for different parts of the country. Many more names can be added to the list of stations selected under the government’s Amrit Bharat Station Scheme in the Union Budget to be presented for the financial year 2025-26. Let us tell you that under this scheme, the Central Government is giving a new and modern look to 1275 railway stations of the country keeping in mind better passenger facilities.
Big news may come regarding orders for rolling stock and wheels
Along with this, new orders can be placed to different companies for rolling stock, goods train coaches and wheels. This will not only accelerate the development of Railways, but will also give tremendous development to railway related companies like BHEL, BEML, RVNL, IRFC, Titagarh. Which will have a direct and positive impact on the shares of these companies as well.
