Union Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal on Tuesday assured that when there is a trade agreement with any country, it will be signed with India’s best interests in mind. According to PTI news, Goyal said that India is our first mantra, our guiding principle. Refusing to explain the outline of the ongoing trade conversation with the US, Goyal said that India is talking with many countries. They are moving very smoothly in the positive direction and everything is fine.
Bilateral trade agreement with America will be beneficial
According to the news, the Union Minister said that we are covering a lot of subjects, many products and I can assure businessmen across the country that we are putting India’s best interests in our discussions at the forefront. Goyal said that the bilateral trade agreement with the US would take the economy towards becoming a developed nation by 2047, when the country will celebrate the completion of 100 years of independence.
Thoughts on opening this prestigious institute in UAE
Speaking at the Dubai India Business Forum, Goyal said that India is considering opening the Indian Institute of Management and Indian Foreign Trade in UAE. He said that after the establishment of IITs, the decision to open these two major educational institutions should be seen as an important event depicting India’s relations. India wants Dubai to work as an entrance to India’s association with the Middle East region and said that there are 2 million Indians in the city. Several announcements were made at the event by Dubai -based institutions, including the beginning of the construction of Bharat Mart in Al Jabeli. Officials said Mart would be completed by the end of next year.
India-Africa Setu also launched
The Indo-Africa Setu which will help Indian exporters reach 53 cities in the operated African continent by DP World. At the same time, DP World has tied up with government -owned rights for the development of projects globally and with the cochin shipyard for ship repair, ship -making and ship repair cluster with Indian coastline. Crown Prince Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammad Al Maktum of Dubai was also present on the occasion.
