New Delhi. These days, there is a new debate going on in the country regarding the working hours of employees. Two days ago, L&T Company Chairman SN Subramanian had talked about working 90 hours a week. Now another big businessman of the country has also given his opinion regarding this. Deepak Shenoy, CEO of Capital Mind, has said that he often works 100 hours a week but the actual work is mostly done in 4 to 5 hours a day. Along with this, he said that there is no need to enforce working hours, rather those who are motivated towards work will work happily.

Deepak Shenoy wrote on social media post, out of the 100 hours of work I have done in a week, most of it has been done as a businessman. I still find it difficult to call meetings work, but what I call work takes much more energy than that. The logic of working hours is incomprehensible to me. When I play, I will play hard. When I work, I will work hard. I suggest you find your rhythm, and I hope you find success in it.

At the same time, social media users are also giving positive feedback on this post of Shenoy. One user wrote in the comment, completely agree – it is not the hours of work but the product that matters, otherwise it is just to satisfy the ego of the owners or just to show off. There are only 3 reasons why a person sits for long periods of time. 1. He does not get the necessary information/data on time to do his part, 2. He is overloaded with work. These are 2 management issues that managers must address. If these are resolved then the third reason is clearly inefficiency. Take him out.

Another user also agreed with Shenoy and wrote, I also believe in quality hours. Extra hours should never be implemented. Motivated employees always accomplish their goals and increase productivity, whether it’s 48 hours or 90 hours.
