Ahmedabad, June 11 (IANS). Adi Cement said on Wednesday that it has played an important role in creating the world’s highest railway Arch Bridge on the Chenab River in Jammu and Kashmir.
Adani Cement, which includes Ambuja Cement and ACC, said that the company was the lead supplier of cement required to create the structure of Chenab railway bridge and supplied 65,000 metric tonnes of cement for this project.
The company reported that the supplied Ordinary Simple Portland Cement (OPC) was 43 grade, known for its high strength, durability and continuous quality. This makes the cement bridge ideal for complex and large -scale infrastructure that comes in contact with climate and geological conditions.
Vinod Bheti, CEO of Cement Business in Adani Group, said, “It is a matter of great pride for us that we are part of a project that has not only defined the boundaries of engineering but also contributes to national integration. Adi in Cement we believe that every bag of cement takes the burden of the country’s progress.”
Bahti said, “The Chenab Bridge is a great example of how our commitment to quality, stability and time delivery supports India’s infrastructure story.”
The Chenab Bridge designed in the inaccessible areas of Jammu and Kashmir is a victory of design, execution and strength.
This bridge is an important part of the expansion of the ambitious infrastructure of Indian Railways in the region. The Chenab Bridge is a proof of India’s resolve to connect its remote geographical areas through world -class infrastructure.
The company said, “This milestone strengthens the condition of Adani cement as a favorite partner in nation building from the Urban Skyline to the remote areas. As India is building in a strong and more durable manner, Adani is committed to laying the foundation of cement development, strength and change.”
Adani Cement has recently gained a capacity of 100 million tonnes at a record speed. It is now one of the most skilled cement manufacturers in the whole world.
