Gautam Buddha Nagar, 30 April (IANS). Uttar Pradesh Chief Secretary Manoj Kumar Singh on Wednesday conducted a terrestrial inspection of Noida International Airport at Jewar and reviewed the progress of the project.
He appreciated the quality of construction works and directed to complete it within the stipulated time. During the inspection, Chief Executive Officer of Yamuna Development Authority, Arunveer Singh, District Magistrate Manish Kumar Verma, OSD and Nodal Officer Shailendra Kumar Bhatia, Deputy District Magistrate Jewar Abhay Kumar Singh, Jewar International Airport Limited CEO Christoff Shreelman, Chief Development Officer Nicholas Shank and Chief Operating Officer Kiran Jain were present.
At the same time, in the meeting, Yamuna International Airport Private Limited, Tata Projects Limited and Noida International Airport Limited informed the Chief Secretary about the progress of runway, terminal building, cargo facilities and other infrastructure to the Chief Secretary.
The Chief Secretary clearly stated that the project is included in the highest priorities of the state government and the final deadline for flight operations will be declared soon. He directed the concerned agencies that there should be no laxity in the construction works and there should be no compromise on quality.
He also said that Noida International Airport will give new pace to the state’s economy and provide employment and business opportunities for the youth. After inspection, the Chief Secretary visited the under construction sites including Terminal Bhawan, Cargo site and gave necessary guidelines to the officers and emphasized on completing the construction works soon.
Significantly, the officials are constantly inspected by the Uttar Pradesh government regarding the work of Noida International Airport. Efforts are being made to complete the work as soon as possible and the airport for the flight should be ready.
