Closing Bell: Market closed in red mark on the last day of the week, Sensex 200 points broken, Nifty closed at 22,929

Despite the rise in global markets, domestic stock markets declined in the eighth consecutive trading session on Friday (14 February).

Thirty -share BSE Sensex opened 214.88 points or 0.28 percent to 76,353.85. However, later the index slipped into the red mark. Finally, the Sensex improved somewhat and closed down 199.76 or 0.26% to close at 75,939.21.

Similarly, the Nifty 50 of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) also slipped after a strong start. Finally it closed down 102.15 points or 0.44% to close at 22,929.25.
