CM Yogi will inspect Ganga Expressway on Sunday, preparations will be done

Lucknow, 26 April (IANS). Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will inspect the construction work of Ganga Expressway on Sunday. It is one of the largest and ambitious infrastructure projects in the history of Uttar Pradesh. Earlier this inspection was proposed on 28 April, but now it has been scheduled on Sunday.

The Chief Minister will take stock of the ground situation of express construction in three districts (Hardoi, Shahjahanpur and Hapur).

The Yogi government is fully committed to making Uttar Pradesh a leading state of the country in the field of infrastructure, investment and employment. CM Yogi has a special focus on the Ganga Expressway project and his endeavor is to complete the project as soon as possible, so that the people of the state can get the benefit on a large scale.

Chief Minister Yogi will visit the Ganga Expressway under construction on Sunday. First of all, he will go to 62+200 chainage at Meerut-Badaun (Group-1) located in Alamnagar Bangar village of Garhmukteshwar tehsil of Hapur district. After this, he will visit 242+650 Chanej located at Badaun-Hardoi Group-2 located on Piru village of Jalalabad tehsil of Shahjahanpur district and will take stock of the ground situation.

From here, the Chief Minister will look into the construction work going on at Hasoi-Unnao (Group-3) 347+000 Chanej under Bilgram Tehsil of Hardoi district. According to the instructions of Chief Secretary Manoj Kumar Singh, information related to the progress of Ganga Expressway will be provided to the Chief Minister at the prescribed sites in the three districts. This work will be completed in collaboration with the district administration concerned.

The Ganga Expressway under construction by Uttar Pradesh Expressways Industrial Development Authority (UPDA) will be about 600 km long from Meerut to Prayagraj, connecting the western and eastern parts of the state.

This expressway will not only strengthen the industrial and economic development of the state, but will also connect small cities and rural areas with the mainstream of the state. Through this expressway, new opportunities for agriculture, trade, tourism and investment will be created. Bhoomi Pujan of the expressway was performed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 18 December 2021 in Shahjahanpur.

This expressway is expected to be completed soon. The project is considered to be an important contribution under the Pradhan Mantri Gati Shakti Yojana, which is leading towards making India a $ 5 trillion economy. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath himself is monitoring the project to ensure that the work is completed with quality and timeliness.
