New Delhi, 1 June (IANS). New rates of LPG gas cylinders have been released by government oil marketing companies on Sunday. Companies have cut the price of 19 kg commercial LPG gas cylinder by Rs 24, while there has been no change in the price of domestic LPG gas cylinder.
According to the information given on the Indian Oil’s website, the price of 19 kg commercial LPG gas cylinder in Delhi has come down to Rs 1,723.50, which was earlier Rs 1,747.50. At the same time, the price of 19 kg commercial LPG gas cylinder in Kolkata has come down to Rs 1,826, which was Rs 1,851.50 last month.
The price of commercial LPG gas cylinder in the country’s financial capital Mumbai has come down to Rs 1,674.50, which was earlier Rs 1,699. The price of 19 kg commercial LPG gas cylinder in Chennai has come down to Rs 1,881, which was Rs 1,906 in May.
Domestic LPG gas prices remain unchanged and there is no change in them. The last time domestic LPG gas prices were changed on 8 April 2025. During that time the price of 14.2 kg LPG cylinder was increased by Rs 50.
The price of domestic LPG gas cylinder is Rs 853 in Delhi, Rs 879 in Kolkata, Rs 852.50 in Mumbai and Rs 868.50 in Chennai.
India imports about 60 percent of domestic consumption. The price of LPG in the country is connected to the international market. For this reason, oil marketing companies release new prices on the first date of every month after review.
According to the information presented by the government in the Parliament session, the number of beneficiaries receiving LPG with subsidized LPG under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY) has increased to 10.33 crore till 1 March this year, while the total active domestic LPG consumers in India are 32.94 crore.
