New Delhi, 12 July (IANS). According to the central government, in the last 16 years, the Common Services Center (CSC) has become one of the largest digital service delivery networks in the world, operating through more than 6.5 lakh functional centers in both rural and urban areas.
A leading initiative under the ‘Digital India’ program, CSC, will celebrate its 16th Foundation Day at Yashobhumi Convention Center on 16 July.
According to the Ministry of Electronics and IT, Union Home Minister Amit Shah will inaugurate the event in the presence of Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnav and Minister of State Jitin Prasad.
The program will also showcase the future roadmap of CSC, which focuses on intensive access, service expansion and technology-lad innovation.
This new phase will include AI-based services, cloud solutions and integration of digitally competent livelihoods, aimed at developing CSC as rural innovation and engines of self-sufficient India.
The CSC Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) will organize several ceremonies at the national, state and district level.
Senior government dignitaries, industry partners, policy makers and thousands of VLEs are expected to be involved in recognizing the achievements of the CSC movement.
The ceremony will also honor those outstanding village level entrepreneurs (VLE) and community leaders who have shown extraordinary commitment to change life through CSC platforms.
According to the government, “The 16th Foundation Day of CSC is re-confirmed by the government’s mission to ensure inclusive development through digital mediums. As a model of public-private partnership, CSC has become the cornerstone of digital governance, civil-centered distribution and community change. goes.”
In the presence of Home Minister Shah in 2022, CSC signed an agreement with NABARD and Ministry of Cooperation. Under this agreement, cooperative loan committees across the country are now working as a Common Service Center (CSC).
The CSC has played an important role in empowering the citizens of rural India, especially women, farmers and marginalized communities by providing digital access, financial inclusion, healthcare and livelihood aid on their homes.
