Washington, 5 March (IANS). US President Donald Trump on Wednesday addressed the joint session of the Congress and once again spoke of the reciperook tariff. He said that now ‘recipecol tariff’ will be imposed in lieu of ‘high tariff’. Trump made several big announcements while addressing the joint session of the US Parliament.
Donald Trump said, “Countries like Canada, Mexico, India and South Korea impose high tariffs on America. He announced that from April 2, recipes will be levied on these countries, that is, the countries which are taxed on the US, America will also impose the same tax on those countries. Trump said that the step is being taken to provide a” fair and balance “to the American economy.
In his speech, Trump said, “We first wanted to implement it from 1 April, but will now implement it from April 2 due to ‘April Fool’. He described it as an necessary step to make the American economy “rich and great” again. Trump also said that the European Union, China, Brazil, India and other countries have imposed more tariffs on the US for decades, and now the time has come when the US will put reciperoching tariffs on these countries.
The President clarified, “We will also charge the same fee from the countries which the countries charge from us. India charges 100 percent tariffs from us, and it is not appropriate for America. It was never.” He said that this step is being taken to protect American farmers, manufacturers and workers, which have been affected by long -to -long unbalanced trade policies. Trump said that this change is being done to keep the US first, and now the time has come that the US has taken steps against countries who have been using tariffs against the US for decades.
Earlier, Trump on Wednesday, while addressing a joint session of Congress, criticized Democrats, who refused to appreciate his comments.
Trump described it as “very sad” and said, “I look at the Democrats in front of me, and I realize that I cannot say anything to make them happy or stand, smile or clap. I can’t do anything.”
He further said, “I can find a cure for the most destructive disease, a disease that will erase the whole nation or declare the answer to stop the biggest economy or crime of history at the lowest level.
Expressing disappointment, Trump said, “I have come here five times. It is very sad, and it should not happen.”
