Rafale producer French company Dassault has been finalized in this regard with the Tata Group. Tata Advanced Systems Limited and Dassault Aviation have signed 4 production transfer agreement to build Rafale’s body part in India. In this production plant of Tata Group, probably by 2028, Rafael’s body part will start becoming. Rafael’s fuslas, central fusalaz, back and front part of the aircraft will be made in India.
Fuselaj is the main structure of any aircraft. Fuslas pilot connects cockpit, engine, electronic systems and weapons. The wings and tail of the aircraft also get support through fuslas. Rafael’s fusalaz is made from light but strong composite materials such as carbon and only fiber. This reduces the weight of the aircraft. Regarding this deal, the chairman of Dassault Aviation says that this will be the first time that Rafael’s fusalaj will be built outside France in another country. This is a decisive step taken by our side towards strengthening our supply chain of military aircraft in India.
At the same time, CEO and Managing Director of Tata Advanced Systems Limited, Sukaran Singh said that our deal with Dassault Aviation is an important step in India’s aerospace sector. This also shows India’s Make in India’s confession globally. Let us tell you that India has signed a deal to buy 26 Rafale M aircraft from France in April this year. Under this defense deal of more than 63 thousand crore rupees, India will buy 22 single-seater and 4 twin-seater aircraft. The delivery of the aircraft is expected to start by the end of 2029. Earlier in 2016, India had signed a deal to buy 36 Rafale fighter jets from France for its Air Force.
