Bank Nifty index opened with a gain of 81.15 points at 51,543.20.
The Nifty 50 of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) opened today with a gain of 69.50 points at 25,084.10, while the Sensex of the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) opened with a gain of 238.83 points at 81,927.29 in early trade. Most of the indices opened in mixed range. Apart from this, Bank Nifty index opened with a gain of 81.15 points at 51,543.20. On the NSE Nifty 50 index, HCL Tech, ITC, Trent, Wipro and Hero MotoCorp emerged as top gainers, while Titan Company, Hindustan Unilever, Britannia Industries, ONGC and Maruti Suzuki India were seen trading as top losers. Sector wise, there is a decline of 1% each in Capital Goods, Power, Metal, Telecom, Media, while buying is seen in Bank and IT sectors.
Crude oil and investors’ trends
On Monday morning, WTI crude prices were trading 0.36% lower at $74.11, while Brent crude prices were trading 0.47% lower at $77.66. According to provisional data available on NSE, foreign institutional investors (FIIs) sold shares worth Rs 9,896.95 crore on October 4, 2024, while domestic institutional investors (DIIs) bought shares worth Rs 8,905.08 crore.
Asia-Pacific markets boom
According to CNBC news, Asia-Pacific markets showed the highest rise on Monday. It was led by Japan’s Nikkei 225. Investors are keeping an eye on the central bank’s decisions in the sector, which rose about 2%. Nikkei gains were led by financial and consumer cyclical stocks, with names such as Mizuho Financial Group and Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group among the biggest gainers on the index.
