Trump has warned that if the iPhones are made in the US in India or any other country, then 25 percent tariffs will be imposed on the company. Trump wrote on the social media post, I had told Apple CEO Tim Cook long ago that the iPhone sold in America should be built in America and not in India or any other country. If you do not do so, you will have to pay at least 25 percent tariffs. I hope Cook will focus on this subject.
Just last week, the US President had asked Apple CEO Tim Cook not to manufacture the iPhone in India but should focus on America for this. However, despite Trump’s fact, Cook did not pay attention to his point. Recently, Reuters claimed in its report that due to the tariff imposed by Trump on China, Apple has decided to replace the iPhone manufacturing in India and other countries due to all the apprehensions.
