US-China Trade War
Us China Tariff War: China has shown some softness in view of the sharp attitude of US President Donald Trump. Along with this, a ray of hope has been seen in a tremendous ongoing tariff war between the two countries. The US today increased the tariff on Chinese products to 245 per cent. After this, China has said that if Trump shows the response, he is ready for talks. According to the news agency Bloomberg, the conditions laid by China to start dialogue between the two countries include showing a response for China.
‘America removes China’s concerns’
A person expert in the case said that other conditions include more consistent American trends, American sanctions and Taiwan’s desire to overcome China’s concerns and the appointment of an American contact person supported by Trump to hold bilateral talks on trade and tariffs. According to the report, American contact individuals will lead the talks and will help prepare an agreement that Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping can sign during the meeting.
China has banned rare minerals
In response to Trump’s tariff, China has imposed 125 percent tariff on the US. At the same time, China has stopped the export of important and rare minerals as well as magnets that are used in the production of many products from cars to electronics and arms systems. China has almost monopoly on the supply of such important and rare minerals and magnets, so this restriction is expected to affect manufacturing badly, as most companies do not have so much stock that can last longer in trade war.
Will America interact?
Let us know that recently, America’s Treasury Secretary Scott Besant rejected the idea of interaction with China in an interview. In an interview with Yahoo Finance on Tuesday, Besant said, “Let’s keep the China separate” and focus on the ongoing trade talks with 14 other countries. Besant said, “There are 15 big trading partners. We have kept China separate. Now 14 are left and we are moving fast in conversation with them. We are installing a process for these 14 biggest trading partners.” He added, “I think if we follow the process, we can gain adequate clarity in terms of theoretical agreements with those 14 countries apart from China.” On the other hand, the press secretary of the White House Caroline Lewitt had said that the ball is in China’s court. China needs to do a deal with us. We have no need to compromise with them.
