As the festive demand continued, the prices of all oil-oil-oil prices closed strong in the country’s oil-oilseed market on Saturday. Market sources said that due to the increasing demand for food and food leaflets in view of the upcoming festivals, the government will have to pay attention to how to meet the lack of imports. Mustard oil will not be enough to meet this deficiency. On the other hand there is less availability of cottonseed and about 20 percent cottonseed seeds are left with the farmers. He said that the price of Pamoline is touching the sky, so its imports are also decreasing.
Mustard MSP is Rs 5,650 quintal
He said that the current minimum support price of mustard (MSP) is Rs 5,650 quintal and from March 28, the new MSP of mustard will start at Rs 5,950 quintal. Therefore, whatever goods are, farmers are stopping it so that they can get the benefit of new MSP. Sources said that in some places in western India, raids have been conducted by the government following complaints of adulterated cottonseed Khal. The government needs to keep making a continuous effort in this direction so that the business sentiment of the oil-oilseed market is not affected. The arrival of cotton in the market is now very low and the next crop will come in October.
Government should pay more attention to this
Sources said that the government will have to make special efforts to increase oil-oil-production production in the country that the oilseed production that farmers have increased in the past years should have a market in the country. For this, the government has to develop a clear policy, method of taxation. At present, soybeans, peanuts, sunflowers are being sold below the MSP in the spot market, due to which farmers do not get the cost.
