वैश्विक उठापटक के बाद भी शेयर बाजार में मिलता रहेगा 15-16 प्रतिशत का सालाना रिटर्न : रमेश दमानी

New Delhi, October 21 (IANS). Even after global turmoil, investors will continue to get returns of 15 to 16 percent on annual basis in the Indian stock market. Veteran investor Ramesh Damani gave this statement on Monday.

Speaking to IANS on the sidelines of ‘NDTV World Summit 2024’, Damani said that the global turmoil will have no impact on the growth rate of the stock market. One should never be negative on the stock market due to global fluctuations. Fluctuations are part of the market. I think that despite the ups and downs, the market will give returns of 15 to 16 percent on an annual basis.

Damani further said that the Iran-Israel conflict is bad for the stock market, but in a bull market all concerns fade away. The current stock market has discounted geopolitical conflicts.

He further said that India’s performance is the best among all the emerging markets in the world. The reason for this is 3D (Democracy, Digitization and Demographics).

Apart from this, Damani stressed that a very good digital public infrastructure is being created by India for the public. Together we are building a country, leaving a better country to the next generation.

Earlier in the event, global investor Mark Mobius had said that he looks at return-on-equity, debt-to-equity and quality of management in a company while investing. He does not give much importance to the price-to-earnings (PE) ratio while investing, as it reflects the past performance of the company.

Mobius advised young investors to never rush into the market. You should understand the market well and invest in selected stocks based on logic.
