Mumbai Police on Saturday registered an FIR against famous stock broker Ketan Parikh and a 37-year-old woman in a fraud case of Rs 2.17 crore. An investor from Andheri has filed this FIR in a fraud case of Rs 2.17 crore. Let us tell you, Ketan Parikh was convicted in the 2001 securities scam case.

Under which sections FIR has been registered

According to the report of Indian Express, this FIR has been registered at Versova Police Station. Mumbai Police has registered an FIR under IPC sections 406, 420 (fraud) and 34. However, no arrests have been made yet. This FIR has been lodged by a 47 year old man who lives in Adhenri (West).

What is the whole matter?

According to the FIR, the person (who lodged the FIR) met the woman for the first time in 2015. In December 2020, the woman introduced the investor to Ketan Parikh for the first time in a five star hotel in Bandra. According to the FIR, the woman told the man that Parikh worked as a stock operator for ‘Seacoast’, ‘Pessalo Digital’ and ‘Spacenet’ companies.

According to the person who lodged the FIR, in June 2021, the woman asked him to invest in her name through Ketan Parikh. Also promised good returns. The complainant told that he gave Rs 55 lakh to the woman to invest in ‘Seacoast’. The same day the woman told that she had given the money to Ketan Parikh.

According to the FIR, the complainant took a flat in Versova on rent the same month and started living with the woman. The complainant claimed that he had deposited Rs 71.85 lakh in the woman’s bank account in 2021 by selling the family jewellery. Later the woman bought a Range Rover with that money. When asked, the woman told that Parikh wanted to give her a car but could not give such a huge amount in cash. The woman assured that her money was safely deposited with Parikh.

In January and June 2022, the woman again deposited Rs 49 lakh in her account. Then the woman told the complainant that Parikh had asked her to buy shares of ‘Pessalo Digital’. According to the FIR, the woman took Rs 37 lakh in cash in May, July and September 2023. The woman has told that Parikh has asked ‘Spacenet’ to invest. According to the FIR, when the complainant asked for money, both the people did not take it very seriously. On December 25, 2023, when the complainant went to Parikh’s house, Parikh’s wife told that an affair was going on between her husband and the woman.

According to the FIR, on the same day Ketan Parikh asked the complainant to meet him at a hotel. Parikh said that he would return the Rs 42 lakh and give him 1 lakh shares of ‘Pesalo Digital’ in a few days.

On the same day, Parekh allegedly asked the complainant to meet him at a hotel, where he allegedly assured her that he would return Rs 42 lakh and give her 1 lakh shares of ‘Pessalo Digital’ within a few days. Parekh, in turn, requested the complainant to tell his wife that he was not having an affair. According to the FIR, the complainant secretly recorded this conversation. This entire matter is under investigation. According to sources associated with the police, the claims of the complainant are being investigated.
