The Indian stock market opened today with a slight gain and a decline is being seen in early trading. Bombay Stock Exchange index Sensex opened today with a gain of 117 points at 79,335.48. In early trade it was seen falling 175 points and trading at 79,061. Out of 30 Sensex shares, 11 shares were seen trading on the green mark and 19 shares were seen trading on the red mark. At the same time, the National Stock Exchange index Nifty was seen trading at 23,902, falling 49 points. In early trade, out of 50 shares of Nifty pack, 22 shares were on the green mark and 28 shares were on the red mark.

Among Nifty pack shares, the biggest decline was seen in Axis Bank by 1.31 per cent, Larsen & Toubro by 1.08 per cent, ITC by 1.01 per cent, JSW Steel by 0.99 per cent and Cipla by 0.86 per cent. At the same time, the highest growth was seen in TCS by 1.23 percent, NTPC by 1.17 percent, Adani Enterprises by 0.88 percent, Hero MotoCorp by 0.55 percent and Infosys by 0.48 percent.

Talking about sectoral indices, Nifty Bank 0.35 percent, Nifty Financial Services 0.27 percent, Nifty FMCG 0.30 percent, Nifty IT 0.03 percent, Nifty Metal 0.33 percent, Nifty Pharma 0.01 percent, Nifty PSU Bank 0.52 percent. 0.48 in Nifty Private Bank percent, Nifty Midsmall Financial Services saw a decline of 0.43 percent, Nifty Midsmall IT & Telecom saw a decline of 0.10 percent.
